You can identify the judges and their guides by their red clipboards--please be courteous and do not interrupt any judges when they are reviewing other demos. The International Ballrooms will be closed during judging, only presenters and judges/judge escorts will be in the room during the competition.
  • If you are entered in a competition, you will have a total of 15 minutes to present your project to the judges. This includes 10 minutes to present your project, followed by a 5 minute question and answer period with the judges. On occasion, judges may ask questions during your presentation. All participants should be flexible in their presentation style and accommodating of any requests from the judges.  Please remember: it doesn't matter how your time is used, the judges will only spend a total of 15 minutes with you. There are typically three judges for each competition (ideally two from industry and one from academia). Each team of judges will be accompanied by a guide (a CMC employee) who will keep the judges on schedule, introduce them to each competition participant, etc. The guides will let you know when you are next, and may set up chairs in front of your demo for the judges.
